The prices are advertised rates, not offers

Every price here is read from an operator's own published listing on the date shown. Prices change constantly with availability, and operators state their advertised rates are not guaranteed. Nothing on this site is an offer, a quote, or a reservation. Always confirm the current rate directly with the facility before you rent. Storage Price Index is not a party to any rental and earns nothing from one.

No warranty

The data is provided as is. It is gathered carefully and checked automatically, and figures that fail those checks are withheld, but a source listing can still be stale or mislabelled and errors are possible. Storage Price Index makes no warranty as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it. If you find an error, tell us and it will be corrected or withheld.

Independence

Storage Price Index is independent research and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Public Storage or any other storage operator. Operator names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify whose published prices a figure came from.

Using these figures elsewhere

The compiled figures on this site — the medians, the rankings, the grouping of towns into markets, and which observations were kept or withheld — are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may republish them, including commercially, provided you say where they came from and link back to this site. Citing the date matters as much as the number: these are advertised rates on the day they were read, and they move.

Two things that licence does not cover, because they are not this site's to give. Individual advertised prices are facts, and facts belong to nobody; what is licensed here is the compilation, not the underlying rates. And the operators' own listings, names and marks remain theirs — see Independence above.
